Kothapet: The nine-day Vinayaka Navratri festival organized by the PVT Market Merchant Committee came to a grand end on Wednesday amidst devotion. The Ganesh immersion ceremony held at the end of the festival was held in grand style. Before the immersion procession, an auction of the Lord’s laddu, silk clothes and bundles of notes was held. Devotees and traders competed for the laddu prasad, and Ganji Ramesh got it for Rs. 3,01,000. Bose Master got the silk clothes and bundles of notes for Rs. 5,100 each in the auction. Later, a procession of Ganesha was held amidst the playing of auspicious instruments, kolatas, dances of devotees, and the recitation of the name of ‘Ganapati Bappa Moriya’ and the immersion was carried out according to the scriptures. The committee members wished that with the blessings of Lord Vigneshwara, all the traders would be blessed with good health and prosperity, and that the market would flourish. A large number of committee leaders, members, local traders and devotees participated in the program.
