Nandigama Representative Service Inam Rythuvari Patta Rights Protection Committee has demanded that the farmers concerned be given full rights over their lands. It has demanded that GO No. 16/2013 be revoked and the original patta holders of the land be given full rights over their lands. It has also appealed to the government to revive the 1956 Inam Abolition Act. A meeting was held under the auspices of the committee on Sunday evening at The Clover Nest School premises in Kakatiyanagar, Nandigama. The meeting was held on the instructions of the committee’s honorary presidents Ratakonda Koteswara Rao and Kotha Koteswara Rao. Speaking on the occasion, several victims said that they have been facing serious difficulties since the registration of their lands has been stopped since 2013. They said that they have purchased lands with government permissions, got them registered, took bank loans and built houses and are living. Similarly, they said that they have been cultivating agricultural lands for more than 60 years, and have obtained pattadar passbooks and also taken bank loans. The victims expressed their grievances that the lands were purchased by their elders with hard work and that they had not encroached on anyone’s lands. Many in the meeting felt that the ordinance brought in 2019 did not provide a permanent solution to their problem and was only a stopgap measure. They urged the government to take steps to provide full rights to the farmers concerned on the service inam lands. A large number of service inam land victims from Nandigama, Jaggayyapet, Chilakaluripet and other areas attended the meeting. Chintapalli Prasad, Ginjupalli Ramesh, Achyutaramaiah, Jawvaji Srinivas, Rayapati Ramesh, Mandava Pichaiyya, Chandrasekhar and others along with more than 150 victim members participated. The victims appealed to the public representatives and government officials to immediately pay attention to the problem of their lands, solve the problem and provide them justice. It was decided in the meeting to organize all the victims of service inam land into a committee and formulate future action to solve the problem. The members of the committee requested the affected farmers and the people to cooperate in this action.
