Punnami News Correspondent Kovvur: A free measurement camp for the disabled was organized under the auspices of Devokthi Charitable Trust (CHIDPI) in Tallapudi mandal center of Kovvur constituency of East Godavari district. Organized with the motto ‘Society is our family’, this program was held at Dr. Murthy Hospital-Manganna Surgical and Maternity Nursing Home in Tallapudi. In this camp, measurements were taken for artificial limbs for about a hundred disabled people. In this program, which was supervised by doctors from Bangalore, accurate measurements were taken according to their needs for those who lost limbs in accidents and polio victims. They will be provided with Jaipur legs with soft liner, calipers, etc. completely free of charge. The organizers said that through this program, which was carried out with the help of donors, artificial limbs will be fitted to those who have given measurements within a month. ‘The mind that drives the disabled, their smile is the goal of our organization,’ said the representatives of the trust. Dr. Murthy informed on this occasion that many more such service programs will be organized in the future. Devokthi Charitable Trust Founder Chairman Prathipati Nagaraju, Board of Directors Jodala Venkateswara Rao, Manimel Ankababu, Ramancha Praveen, and hospital staff participated in this program.
