Kothapeta: Mekala Satyanarayana said that everyone should contribute their bit for the welfare of students and the development of government schools. Mekala Chittaiah, former ward member of Kothapeta Gram Panchayat and former general secretary of Mohannagar Development Committee, distributed food plates to students at Mohannagar Government Pre-Primary School on Wednesday under the auspices of Sri Mekala Chilukamma-Chittaiah Memorial Trust on the occasion of Mekala Chilukamma’s death anniversary. Trust Chairman and Mohannagar Welfare Association General Secretary Mekala Satyanarayana and school principal Katta Anjaneyulu handed over the food plates to the students. Speaking on the occasion, they wished that students studying in government schools would excel in education and rise to a higher level. They said that they would do their best to provide the necessary support and assistance to the students. They said that there is a need to focus on the facilities of the students along with their education. Many said that it is commendable to continue the memories of Mekala Chilukamma-Chittayya by providing food plates to the students on the occasion of their death anniversary. He said that the trust will work to organize service programs in the society more widely. School teachers Sunitha, Sandhya, Sailaja, Aishwarya, Sunitha along with leaders Parshapu Sridhar, Sangipet Naresh, Muralidhar, Chiranjeevi, Nithin and others participated in this program.
