Nandigama Representative CITU leaders have called for a successful dharna to be organized at the Labor Office on September 30, demanding that the problems of construction workers be resolved. NTR District Building Workers Union and Nandigama Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Painting Workers Union (CITU) released pamphlets related to the dharna at the Nandigama Gandhi Center on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, CITU NTR District Vice President K. Gopal said that all the welfare schemes implemented earlier by the Construction Workers Welfare Board should be revived and implemented. They demanded that a compensation of Rs. 10 lakh be paid if a construction worker dies accidentally. They demanded that pending claims related to the Welfare Board be released immediately and that the online as well as offline system for registrations and renewals of the Workers Welfare Board should be continued. He asked for the revival of all the welfare schemes implemented in the past. K. Gopal called for a large number of workers to participate in the dharna to be organized at the labor offices on September 30 to solve these problems. Similarly, he asked for a dharna to be organized at the district collectorate on October 8 to be celebrated. Painting Workers Union leaders Patti Haribabu, Bellamkonda Rambabu, Ramu, Kiran, Paramesh, Shivayya and many other workers participated in this program.
