Nellore: Commissioner YO Nandan has instructed officers of various departments of the Municipal Corporation to take up the management of the Nellore Barashahid Dargah Rotela Festival, which is recognized as a state festival, in a planned manner. A review meeting on the management of the Rotela Festival was held in the Commissioner’s Chamber in the office on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner suggested that special attention should be paid to the provision of drinking water facilities, high-power electric lights, construction of temporary internal paths, sanitation management, bleaching, lime, mobile toilets, bio-toilets, establishment of a reception center, CCTV cameras, parking arrangements, facilities in parking areas, mic announcements, arrangement of showers in the ghat area, marking of shops, display of route maps, route details through QR code scanners, construction of barricades and other issues in the dargah premises where the festival will be held for five days from the 26th of this month. Deputy Commissioner Chennudu, Health Department Officer Dr. Dinesh, Engineering Department SE Rahanthu Johnny, EEs Seshagiri Rao, Anil Kumar, City Planner Raghurad Rao, TPRO Vasu Babu, Manager Rajeshwari, Veterinary Doctor Madan Mohan, Revenue Officers Samad, Srinivasulu, Superintendents, Sanitation Supervisors and staff participated in this meeting.
