Another depression has formed in the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department said that it has formed between Myanmar and Andaman. It is likely to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm in the next 12 hours. It is currently centered east-northeast of Mayabandar in Andaman and is moving north-northwestwards towards Bangladesh. It is likely to cross the coast between the northeast Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh in 72 hours. Due to the influence of the depression, rains are likely to occur in many parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Winds are likely to blow at a speed of 30-40 km per hour, said Meteorological Department officials. It is known that recently a severe cyclonic storm formed in the Bay of Bengal and crossed the coast near Kalingapatnam. Due to its influence, widespread rains have occurred in many parts of Uttar Andhra districts.
