Nirmal District September 28 (Punnami Representative) Nirmal: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders submitted a petition to In-charge Joint Collector (Revenue) Rathod Ramesh at a public meeting held at the Collectorate on Monday, demanding that the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar building in Nirmal district headquarters be protected from negligence and misuse by the municipal authorities and that the responsibilities of building management be immediately and legally handed over to the SC community committee. Speaking on the occasion, AAP Nirmal constituency president Mukul Rajanna expressed his regret that the prestigious Ambedkar building, built by the government for the welfare of SC community people, students, youth and cultural programs, has been converted into a base for livestock care staff, monkey control staff and a godown for storing garbage. They said that government property built with public money is being damaged due to the negligence of the authorities and demanded a comprehensive investigation into the budget and tender process related to the construction of the building. The Joint Collector was informed that steps should be taken to vacate the building immediately and hand it over to the SC community committee. AAP Telangana State Joint Secretary, Nirmal District General Secretary Ch. Vinod Kumar, District Treasurer Abdul Sadiq, Nayak Dilip and others participated in this program.
