Nandigama leaders have stressed that any leader or party worker in public life in Nandigama should demonstrate human values by visiting and supporting people in difficult times. Former Nandigama sarpanch and prominent Telugu Desam Party leader Sakhamuri Swarnalatha, who recently underwent a knee surgery, is currently resting. On Sunday, local leaders visited her residence to inquire about her health and wished her a speedy and complete recovery. Speaking on the occasion, the leaders said that helping those in need and supporting them in difficult times is a social responsibility that goes beyond politics. They believed that when public representatives participate in the joys and sorrows of the people, rather than being limited to political activities, empathy and a sense of service are enhanced in the society. The meeting was attended by Nandigama Marketing Yard Chairperson Pittala Sridevi, BJP leader and ‘Seva Sankalpa’ B.N. In-charge Unnam Giridhar, Nandigama Town Chief Secretary Tutari Krishna, OBC NTR District Executive Member Erragorla Lakshman and others participated. “Public service is not just about holding office; real service is standing by the people in their joys and sorrows.” The leaders stated that building a healthy society is possible only when mutual affection, sense of service and human values are developed among the people.
