Contractor Anil Wankidi, September 21 (Punnami): He alleged that the contractor who undertook the road development work in the Aakini area of the mandal is facing difficulties in paying the bills. Contractor Mandokar Anil alleged that the sub-sarpanch is asking for a percentage on the cheque for payment of the bills even after the work is completed. Even after the work is completed.. waiting for the bills Anil said that he completed the road development work as per the rules. He stated that he had paid the expenses of equipment, labor, transportation etc. in advance during the work and completed the work. He expressed his concern that he had been going around the gram panchayat office for months for the bills that were to come after the work was completed. He alleged that the sub-sarpanch’s signature is required in the cheque process, but he is being asked to give a percentage without signing it. He said that he is facing serious financial difficulties due to this. He appealed to the authorities to conduct an investigation Anil requested the relevant authorities to conduct a full investigation into the allegations he is making and bring the facts to light. They appealed to take steps to ensure that bills related to development works undertaken with government funds are paid on time as per the rules. “I have to go around for months for bills after completing the work. The authorities should respond and take steps to pay my bills. An inquiry should be conducted into the issue of asking for a percentage without signing the cheque,” said contractor Anil.
