Muddanur: The school management committee elections conducted by the state government ended peacefully in government schools in the mandal on Tuesday. The elections were held in 36 primary schools and 6 high schools without any untoward incidents. The elections were held in a peaceful atmosphere under the supervision of Mandal Tehsildar Ali Khan, Mandal Development Officer Radhakrishna Veni, and CI Nagesh Babu, Mandal Education Officer Nageshwara Nayak said. He said that an SMC chairman and vice chairman have been elected for each school along with a maximum of 12 committee members depending on the number of students. The term of the SMC committee will be two years and during this period, the committee members should work together with the principals and teachers for the development of the school and the educational development of the students. He said that the responsibility of increasing the number of students in government schools and strengthening them further lies with the parents. He urged the chairmen, vice chairman and committee members to further strengthen government schools under the leadership of the teachers. He urged everyone to contribute to the progress of government schools, saying that superior education is available only in government schools.
