*- 24-hour surveillance of the town with 110 CC cameras* *- Special initiative of CI Muralikrishna as per the orders of the SP* *Sullurpet, September 24 The police department, which has taken stronger measures for the control of crimes and the safety of the people, has set up a surveillance shield for the town of Sullurpet. As per the orders of SP L. Subbaraidu, CI M. Muralikrishna has set up 110 CC cameras in 50 key areas of the town with a special initiative. The Command Control Center, set up at a cost of Rs. 15 lakhs in the premises of the RTC bus stand, was formally inaugurated by local MLA Dr. Nelavala Vijayasri on Thursday. The Command Control Center will monitor the movements of the main intersections, business areas and problematic areas of the town for 24 hours. In addition to detecting suspicious movements, preventing crimes such as thefts, chain thefts and other crimes, CCTV footage will be used as key evidence to identify the accused when a crime is committed. Similarly, surveillance will continue on the traffic conditions in the town. This system will also be useful for identifying and taking action against those who violate traffic rules. The police advised the people and traders to install CCTV cameras at homes and shops so that they can be clearly seen from the street. They were asked to inform the police immediately if suspicious people or movements are seen. MLA Dr. Nelavala Vijayasri said that this surveillance system will further strengthen the maintenance of law and order and crime control in the town. *CI Muralikrishna, SI Ajay Kumar, police personnel, local dignitaries and others participated in the program.*
