*Satyavedu:* 👉 Although patients undergoing treatment in government hospitals are receiving meals, the cost of meals for attendants and family members accompanying them is becoming a burden for poor families, say patients and their relatives. In this context, they are humbly appealing to MLA Adimulam to set up a canteen within or near the hospital premises. 👉 Poor and ordinary families from various villages and remote areas of the mandal along with the town come to Satyavedu Government Hospital for treatment. As some patients are admitted to the hospital, their family members and attendants also have to stay at the hospital for days. *Although patients are receiving meals.. an additional burden for attendants* 👉 Although patients undergoing treatment in the hospital have meal facilities, family members say that the attendants who come to take care of them have to rely on outside hotels for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 👉 They say that eating three meals a day in a hotel is becoming an additional financial burden for poor families who are already facing financial difficulties due to travel expenses, medicines, medical tests and other necessities. 👉 Especially for families coming from remote villages, it is difficult to afford the cost of hotel meals every day, and for such families, it would be very useful if there was an Anna canteen near the hospital, according to the relatives of the patients. *It would be very useful if the Anna canteen was nearby* 👉 Patients say that the Anna canteen meals provided by the government are very useful for poor and ordinary families. However, they say that since the canteen is located far from the hospital, the attendants have to go and get meals. 👉 They say that setting up an Anna canteen within the hospital premises would be very beneficial for the attendants and family members who come with the patients. If it is not possible to set up in the premises, they suggest that setting up a suitable place near the hospital would solve their problem to some extent. *More benefit for the poor coming from remote villages* 👉 Patients say that most of the families coming to Satyavedu Government Hospital from faraway places are economically backward. They say that the expenses on the family increase at the time of admission to the hospital for treatment, and if the cost of the attendants’ meals is also added, the difficulties will increase further. 👉 That is why they believe that if a canteen is made available in the hospital premises, it will be a great relief for the families of poor patients. *Humble request to MLA Adimulam* 👉 Keeping in mind the problems of the poor and common people, patients and their family members are humbly requesting MLA Adimulam to consider the possibility of setting up a canteen in the premises of Satyavedu Government Hospital or in the nearby area. 👉 “Although the patients are getting food.. but it is a burden for the attendants who come with them to eat outside every day. We come from remote villages for treatment. Not everyone can afford to eat three meals a day in a hotel. If there is a canteen in the hospital premises or nearby, it will be very useful for poor families like us,” say the relatives of the patients. 👉 The patients want MLA Adimulam and the concerned authorities to take the initiative to set up a canteen in a humanitarian manner so that it is accessible to the attendants of poor patients.
