Nandyal: In the wake of the upcoming local body elections, Nandyal politics has suddenly heated up. Prominent businessman and social activist Golla Rajesh announced that he is entering the local election fray and brought his own agenda and manifesto to the people of the constituency. He entered the public sphere with the slogan “My constituency.. My flag.. My agenda”. He has been organizing various social and service programs in the constituency for the past two years and has already spent crores of rupees on the construction of temples, mosques and churches. He expressed confidence that if his panel candidates (Municipal Chairperson and Councilors) are elected in the upcoming elections, the town will be developed like never before. Highlights of Golla Rajesh’s manifesto: Free municipal gate fees: The municipal gate fees will be completely abolished so that the poor people do not have to bear the burden, and Rajesh will bear the cost himself. House Tax Reduction: The decision will be taken by the Municipal Council to reduce house taxes within the city limits for the poor and middle class. Public Respect – Toilets: Construction of separate toilets in every ward, giving priority to the life and dignity of everyone in the town. Full Meal for Rs. 1K: Arrangements will be made to provide a delicious, hygienic meal of chapati, curry and pulses for just one rupee in every ward. Jobs for local youth: A factory will be set up specifically in Nandyal constituency to provide employment opportunities for the youth. Ward Development with Own Funds: Drainages, street lights, drinking water and road construction works in the wards will be completed with the municipality funds as well as its own expenses. Free Parking & Security: Free parking facility with private security for public vehicles in municipal areas. Interest-free loans: Expansion of interest-free loans with government support and personal funds for small traders who are suffering from high interest rates. Financial assistance for marriages: Financial assistance will be provided for the marriages of young men and women from poor families, regardless of caste and religion. Permanent solution to the traffic problem: The traffic problem in the town will be completely solved through new policies, without causing any problems to the livelihood of small traders. Golla Rajesh made it clear on this occasion that if their candidates are elected, they will change the face of Nandyal town.
