Medchal (Punnami Reporter): Telangana Dignity Housing Colonies JAC President Sandeep has expressed his deep anger that the Telangana government and Housing Board officials are terrorizing the poor people in the name of frequent inquiries in the double bedroom housing complexes distributed by the previous government. Speaking on the occasion, he reminded that the officials have already conducted several inquiries to determine whether the beneficiaries are living in their homes or not. He said that every time the poor people take leave from their daily jobs and work and have to prove that they are living there by showing the evidence requested by the officials. He complained that some of the poor have even lost their employment and jobs due to frequent vacations. He said that despite fully cooperating with the officials so far out of fear of losing the house given by the government, there has been no end to this harassment. “What is the point of people coming to inquire after the time they have gone to work, and beneficiaries who have received information leave their work in a hurry? Do the officials have any humanity?” Sandeep questioned. He demanded that if the authorities are so suspicious, they should set up a ‘biometric’ system for every household and immediately stop causing trouble in the name of repeated inquiries.
