The goal is to eradicate worms: Additional DMHO Palamaneru, September 25 (Punnami Representative) On the occasion of National Deworming Day, deworming tablets were distributed to the students of ZP Girls’ High School. Additional DMHO Dr. Venkata Prasad attended the program as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Venkata Prasad explained the benefits of taking deworming tablets to the students. He said that due to worms, children can have problems like loss of appetite, lethargy, anemia, and impact on growth. In addition to taking the tablets as prescribed by the Health Department for the prevention of worms, he advised them to follow personal hygiene, wash their hands before and after meals, keep their nails clean, drink clean water, and keep their surroundings clean. He said that parents should also pay special attention to the health of their children. The school principal, PHC Pathikonda Dr. Mallikarjuna Reddy, Supervisor Jayashankar, health staff and school students participated in the program.
