Narasaraopet, September 24, Thursday, the District Level Committee meeting of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) scheme was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Kritika Shukla at the media conference hall of the Collectorate. In the meeting, first of all, the beneficiaries were selected for the distribution of two biofloc ponds 2 and a motorcycle with ice boxes with a budget of Rs. 50 lakhs allocated last year and were instructed to submit proposals. Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector directed the officials to complete the financial targets set under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) scheme in the district by one hundred percent within the stipulated time. He advised the committee to select beneficiaries from all the constituencies of the district under PMMSY. They should be prepared to send proposals to the government regarding cold storages, ice plants, oxygen cylinders, syntex boxes, construction of fish retail market, special three-wheeled vehicles for fish transportation, storage of fish fry in reservoirs, establishment of fish kiosks, etc. District Fisheries Officer P. Prasad, District Agriculture Officer Jagga Rao, Palnadu Lead District Manager K. Ram Prasad, EE N SPE E. Srinivasa Rao, DRDA, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and other departmental officials participated.
