Anakapalle District, June 30 (Punnami News – Reporter Anand): With the aim of providing irrigation water to the farmers in Etikoppaka village without any hindrance, the work of desilting canals and removing trees that had grown in the way has been started with the help of a crane machine under the auspices of the Irrigation Department. The work of removing the soil accumulated in the canals and restoring the flow of water is continuing at a fast pace. Water Association President Devi Prasad, Vice President Ravi Chalapathy, Canal Directors Karri Simhachalam, Gara Murthy Raja Rao, Korumilli Prabha, and Annam Rambabu participated in this program. Also, alliance leaders, Jana Sena mandal presidents, former sarpanch Annam Babji, Kondaiyya Naidu, Annam Swaraj Rao, TDP leaders former sarpanch Kandrakota Chiranjeevi, Devarapu Mohan Rao, BJP leader Shennamsetty Srinu and others inaugurated the work and wished for the success of this program that will benefit the farmers. The leaders said that after the completion of the canal desilting, the irrigation water supply will further improve, water wastage will reduce during the rainy season and farmers will get water on time. They asked the officials to complete these works undertaken by the Irrigation Department with the aim of farmer welfare as soon as possible and with quality.
