Chandrasekhar’s arrest is unjust.. He should be released immediately: Rekulakunta Venkatesh

CITU State Council Member C.H. Chandrasekhar’s arrest is unjust and should be released immediately, said APMDC Porata Union General Secretary Rekulakunta Venkatesh. The APMDC Porata Union strongly condemned the police arrest of Chandrasekhar at his residence in the wake of State Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Mangampeta. Venkatesh said that the pre-arrest of labor leaders with the intention of questioning public issues is against the spirit of democracy. He demanded that the Mangampeta workers who sacrificed their lands and houses for APMDC be appointed as permanent employees, that Mangampeta’s rights be protected, and that the bulk tender system that is damaging the organization be abolished. He criticized the fact that the problems of the workers have not been resolved for two years, and that the families of the deceased workers have not been provided with jobs, gratuity, death insurance, and festival gifts. He asked the Chief Minister to intervene and get justice for the APMDC workers. Porata Union leaders S.V.V. Raja Varma, Dabba Sivaprasad, M. Balayya and others participated in this program.
